Low Calorie Cocktails
Cocktails are one of the choices of alcoholic beverages for many of us. We would not want to miss a weekend party when we are dieting. But, a single pint of a drink could increase your calorie intake by about 400-800Kcal which is a little less than half of your daily calorie intake! So, if you are going out for a party......
Here are some low calorie cocktail recipes for you:
1. Strawberry Magic: 80 Calories - Ingredients: 8 tbsp of club soda, 2 tbsp of white rum, 10 mint leaves, 4 sliced strawberries, 4 lime slices (1/2 of lime) and ice
Directions: In a sturdy glass, twist the mint leaves, strawberries, and lime slices by gently pressing them. Add 1 cup of crushed ice, club soda, and rum. Stir gently and garnish with a mint sprig and a lime wedge before serving.
2. Spiced Cider: 150 calories - Ingredients: 8 tbsp of cider, 2 tbsp of spiced rum, 2 tbsp of light coconut milk
Directions: In a saucepan, heat cider to desired temperature, then pour into your favorite mug. Stir in spiced rum and coconut milk. Relax and enjoy!
3. Vodka make over: 117 Calories: Ingredients: 3 tbsp of vodka, 8 tbsp of vegetable juice, 2 teaspoons lemon juice, dash of salt and pepper, celery stalk for garnish
Directions: Fill a glass with ice. Add vodka, vegetable juice and lemon juice in order. Sprinkle in a dash of salt and pepper. Use celery stalk to stir and then leave it in the glass for garnish.
4. Slim the gin: 101 calories: Ingredients: 2 tbsp of gin, 16 tbsp of club soda, 1/2 small orange, peeled and sliced, and ice
Directions: Muddle orange slices in a sturdy glass. Add ice, gin, and club soda. Stir gently and serve.
