Dengue is a viral infection transmitted by mosquitoes, primarily the Aedes aegypti species. It is prevalent in tropical and subtropical regions around the world, particularly in urban and semi-urban areas. Symptoms of dengue fever include high fever joint, and muscle pain, fatigue, and nausea. In severe cases, dengue can lead to dengue hemorrhagic fever.

In moderate dengue fever, symptoms intensify, including persistent fever, severe headaches, significant muscle and joint pain, increased fatigue, pronounced gastrointestinal symptoms, prominent rash, and signs of dehydration. While hospitalization may not be necessary, close monitoring and medical care are important to manage symptoms and prevent complications. 

MODERATE: Medical care recommended

In severe dengue fever, symptoms rapidly worsen, including high fever, intense headaches, severe body pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, organ failure, plasma leakage, dehydration, respiratory distress, and neurological symptoms. Immediate medical attention, often in intensive care units, is crucial to prevent fatalities.
