Here is a nutritious recipe with soya nuggets and green peas that play a major role in reducing bad cholesterol and providing proteins to your body.
High Protein Healthy Pulao

Makes 5 servings
Ingredients
• 1 cup brown rice
• 1/4 cup soya nuggets
• 1/4 cup green peas
• 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
• 1" stick cinnamon
• 2 cloves
• 1 bay leaf
• 1 cardamom
• 1/2 cup chopped onions
• 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
• 1/4 tsp garam masala
• 1 tsp coriander-cumin seeds powder
• 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
• 2 tsp oil
• salt to taste
For chilli-garlic paste (grind it together)
- 3 whole dry red chillies
- 3 garlic cloves
Method
1. Soak cleaned and washed rice for 15min. Drain and keep aside.
2. Soak the soya nuggets for 20min in 1 cup of hot water. Sqeeze and drain out the water and keep aside.
3. Heat the oil in a pressure cooker and add the cumin seeds, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf and cardamom. When the cumin seeds crackle, add the onions and prepared chilli-garlic paste and sauté till the onions turn golden brown.
4. Add the turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander-cumin seed powder, tomatoes, rice, soya nuggets, green peas and salt, and sauté for another 2 minutes.
5. Add 1 ½ cups of hot water and pressure cook for 2 whistles and serve hot.
